Beginning Quilting Classes

Students will be required to have a copy of the class book (available from Cotton Boll Quilting or other source).  Classes will start with discussion of supplies, machine and fabrics.  Expect to sew your first block during the first class!  We will make 7 different blocks then students will have the option to complete a sampler using all the blocks or choose another quilt using one of the blocks taught during the course.  The final steps will be quilting and binding.

Skill Level: beginner
Skill Details: Experience cutting Fabric with a Rotary cutter, mat and ruler will be extremely helpful along with any sewing using a sewing machine.
Materials Included: Coffee, water or tea.
Requirements: Working sewing machine with manual, power cord and foot pedal, 1/4 foot, bobbins, thread, rotary cutter, ruler and cutting mat, small scissors, ripper, pins and other sewing supplies. Fabric selection which will be discussed during first class.
